On August 29, Nexon launched "MapleStory in Lotte World Busan," an autumn collaboration event utilizing the "MapleStory" IP at Lotte World Adventure Busan.
The collaboration will run for a total of 86 days through November 22 across Lotte World Busan. Following its spring collaboration held from March to June at Lotte World Adventure Jamsil, Nexon is expanding its offline IP experience to Busan.
The venue is designed around a storyline where a group of mushrooms takes over the "Magic Forest" through a portal created by Pink Bean. The content and spatial design capture the journey of visitors becoming "MapleStory" heroes who set out to resolve the chaos.
At the Garden Stage, designed with the in-game "Mushroom Castle" as its motif, visitors can participate in a "Make Your Own Character" program. After scanning a QR code and selecting hair and outfits, the completed character appears on a digital panel on stage. "MapleStory" players can also load characters they have raised in the game. Across the park, a mobile stamp rally is held to collect gifts from Princess Violetta's garden party.
Performance programs include the new parade "MapleStory: Dance Together!", as well as "MapleStory Pink Bean Photo Time" held in front of the Talking Tree, "MapleStory Busking," and the "Pink Bean Greeting Band."
Throughout the park, a space-time portal and the in-game town of "Henesys" have been recreated. Photo zones themed around Princess Violetta's garden party and a 6-meter-tall Orange Mushroom air balloon with bubble effects have also been installed.
In addition, merchandise including Orange Mushroom plush hats, drinks themed after "Red Potion" and "Blue Potion," and food and beverage items debuting in Busan are available. Four-cut photo booths featuring character frames, photo cards, and a capsule toy zone are also operating.
Meanwhile, a permanent "MapleStory" themed zone called "Maple Island" is operating at Magic Island in the outdoor area of Lotte World Adventure Jamsil.
