Defying many expectations, KT Rolster defeated Dplus KIA 3-0 to advance to the upper bracket, where Gen.G and Hanwha Life Esports await.

In game 3, Dplus KIA drew first blood by sending Heo "ShowMaker" Su's Aurora to the bottom lane. KT Rolster answered back by turning on Choi "Lucid" Yong-hyeok's Naafiri as he attempted a dive, evening the score to 1-1. Furthermore, Jung "Jiwoo" Ji-woo's Ashe landed an ultimate on Aurora, allowing Gwak "Bdd" Bo-seong's Ryze to pick up a kill.

Around the 14-minute mark, Dplus KIA won a teamfight after Naafiri ambushed Ashe first, securing their second dragon stack. They also picked off Moon "Cuzz" Woo-chan's Cho'Gath, who misjudged his spacing, and took the Rift Herald. Another positive sign for DK was that Sin "Smash" Geum-jae's Yunara picked up three kills. Taking consecutive blows, KT Rolster made a decisive call: they initiated a sneaky Baron and successfully secured it.

Empowered by the Baron buff, KT Rolster exerted pressure on both mid and bottom lanes simultaneously. Although Dplus KIA picked off an isolated Gnar, KT Rolster shut down Aurora in return. Despite virtually no gap in global gold, KT Rolster leveraged their team composition to maintain firm control over the side lanes.

Around the 29-minute mark, KT Rolster caught out Jeon "Siwoo" Si-woo's Ambessa in a side lane and secured the Baron. Taking down Aurora and Yunara as they stepped up to defend, KT Rolster pushed deep into enemy territory and destroyed the Nexus turrets. Although they suffered a heavy loss in a teamfight right in front of the Nexus, it did not change the outcome. Ultimately, KT Rolster aced Dplus KIA in the final mid teamfight and destroyed the game 3 Nexus.
