All four teams competing in 'JaNatDae 26: StarCraft with Chzzk' have been confirmed.

Enchant held a team selection broadcast at 8:00 PM on the 28th and completed team assignments for the 16 participating players in JaNatDae 26: StarCraft with Chzzk. Commentator Kim Jung-min and streamer Sopung Wanni hosted the broadcast, which ran for about two hours on Enchant's official Chzzk channel.

Each team consists of five members in total: one coach and four players. The players were divided into four tiers from Tier A to Tier D. Team composition was conducted via a snake draft after selecting the draft order through a draw. Selecting the draft order also determined the team's position in the round-robin bracket.

The four coaches are Kim Seong-hyun, Cho Il-jang, Maengdeok Mom, and SuperNova. The involvement of former StarCraft pro gamers as coaches generated significant buzz even before the tournament began.

Following the draw, the draft proceeded in the order of SuperNova, Maengdeok Mom, Cho Il-jang, and Kim Seong-hyun. The first player selected was Crank. SuperNova revealed that he picked Crank first because Eclipse was included in the map pool. Maengdeok Mom similarly chose Dopa due to the Eclipse map. Cho Il-jang called out Ambition, and finally, Kim Seong-hyun took Agu as his teammate, filling all four spots in Tier A.

In accordance with snake draft rules, the Tier B selection proceeded in reverse order. Kim Seong-hyun called Flame, Cho Il-jang picked Captain Jack, Maengdeok Mom chose Gosudal, and finally, SuperNova selected Spirit King as his teammate. In Tier B, Flame was especially popular. Both Kim Seong-hyun and Cho Il-jang wanted Flame, but Kim Seong-hyun, who held priority, recruited him onto his team.

In Tier C, SuperNova, who had priority, selected Soowroop first. Next, Maengdeok Mom called Runner, Cho Il-jang chose Neklet, and Kim Seong-hyun picked DDahyoni. In Tier D, in order, Kim Seong-hyun took HumanJelly, and Cho Il-jang picked Sooflower. Maengdeok Mom then chose Sopung Wanni, leaving Ssangbe as the last remaining player to join Team SuperNova, concluding team assignments.

After the teams were finalized, each coach shared their resolve during interviews. Team 1 Coach SuperNova stated, "I am satisfied with this roster. I hope the players selected with top picks step up with a sense of responsibility. Since I place great importance on fundamentals and build details, I will care for them with both a whip and a carrot in moderation."

Team 2 Coach Maengdeok Mom said, "I trust all of my teammates. I will make sure we win no matter what, so I hope they trust and follow me. Please root for our team." Team 3 Coach Cho Il-jang said, "I really like my team. By the time matches begin, I believe everyone will have grown even further. I will analyze thoroughly so we can win the rivalry matches. I hope we can definitely win the championship."

Finally, Team 4 Coach Kim Seong-hyun shared, "I like that my teammates are eager to learn. Although I started as a Terran player, I play all three races, so I plan to guide them well across all races. It is an honor to participate in such a big tournament, and I am glad to be with great teammates. I will run all the way to the championship."

From the 2nd to the 4th of next month, online preliminary round-robin matches will take place to determine playoff qualification. Players of the same tier from each team will face off 1v1, and the top three teams from the round-robin will advance to the offline playoffs. If a tie occurs after the entire round-robin stage concludes, a tiebreaker ace match will be held.

Each set in the round-robin will be played on a designated map. The tournament map pool consists of Fighting Spirit, Eclipse, and Polypoid. Fighting Spirit will be used across all tiers, Eclipse for Tiers A and B, and Polypoid for Tiers A, B, and C. Tier D will play exclusively on Fighting Spirit.

The top three teams in points from the online preliminary round-robin will take the offline stage on September 6 at Woori Bank Hall in COEX Atium. Caster Jun Yong-june, commentator Kim Jung-min, and streamer Cheolmyeon Susim will host the tournament broadcast. The offline stage will be held in a tournament format, with the qualifying match for the finals played as a BO5 and the finals as a BO7. Playoff ticket reservations open on NOL at 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 29.
