
Clouded Leopard Entertainment announced on the 27th that action roguelike '13Z: The Zodiac Trials', developed by Mixed Realms, will launch simultaneously worldwide on January 14, 2027.
The release platforms are Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5. It is a high-speed 3D action roguelike where players control warriors imbued with animal spirits to fight enemies with combos and strengthen their characters through repeated runs.
The game supports single-player and co-op play. Offline, players can enjoy 2-player co-op via split screen, while online co-op supports up to 4 players. The Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 versions will feature newly recorded Japanese and English character voiceovers. Supported subtitle languages include Korean, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Latin American Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.
The game begins as the Twelve Zodiac Guardians, losing their power alongside humanity's faith, reopen "The Zodiac Trials" to restore balance to the world. Linlang, Qingming, and Mukta take on the trials to achieve their own goals and claim the seat of the 13th Guardian.
Sword Saint Linlang is a fox swordsman who utilizes swift swordplay, while Death's Envoy Qingming is a raven spirit who wields a sword made of feathers. Mukta, the Iron-Fisted Warrior, appears as a martial artist who unleashes powerful blows.
Players can customize their combat style by utilizing each challenger's unique abilities and progression system. As they progress through the trials, players unlock bonus effects, acquire growth rewards such as scrolls and gold ingots, and combine various skills to stand against enemies and bosses.
The price and age rating for '13Z: The Zodiac Trials' have not yet been determined.
