Lineage Classic will receive the 'Aden' update on September 16, which marked the grand finale of Season 1's episodes in the past. The Aden update corresponds to Season 1 Episode 12 of Lineage, featuring the new territory of Aden Town and its surrounding hunting grounds, the Aden Castle Siege, and Lineage's most iconic hunting ground, the Tower of Insolence.

Aden is a top-tier castle distinct from other castles. The inaugural Aden Castle Siege is played by defeating the castle lord 'Ken Rauhel', and after the owner of Aden Castle changes, the siege proceeds in the standard Guardian Tower manner. As a top-tier castle, Aden Castle has slight differences in its siege mechanics: alongside the central Guardian Tower, there are four sub-Guardian Towers named Maphr, Sayha, Pa'agrio, and Eva. Attacking players must destroy two of these sub-towers before they can attack the central Guardian Tower, and the Sovereign who ultimately acquires the Crown becomes the lord of the castle.

During the Aden Castle Siege, characters from the original manga—including the Anti-King Ken Rauhel, Kerenis, Kurtz, and the Black Knights—continuously launch attacks, forcing the pledge holding the castle to contend with both attacking rival pledges and these forces at the same time.

The Tower of Insolence is the highest-difficulty hunting ground, surpassing the Forgotten Island. It can be reached by passing through the Slum Waterway or crossing the bridge leading to the Twilight Mountains from the Forest of Dawn, with increasingly powerful monsters appearing as players climb higher. Notably, random teleportation inside is impossible, and it spans up to over 100 floors vertically, with floors 6 and above accessible only via dedicated teleport scrolls. New bosses such as the Ancient Giant and Lich await players, along with top-tier rewards like the Titan's Belt and Lich Robe.

However, the Episode 12 update and Lineage Classic's Aden update are expected to differ to some extent. In the case of the crucial Aden Castle Siege, lower-tier castles like Giran, Heine, and Subterranean Castle—which have not yet appeared in Lineage Classic—need to be introduced first. Given that sieges currently do not take place in some cases due to player shortages or stagnant power dynamics, there is a possibility that the top-tier Aden Castle Siege might not be updated immediately.

As for the Tower of Insolence, although it reached up to 100 floors at the time with only up to Floor 10 unlocked on the launch day, Lineage Classic has a different progression structure than the original game, and the recent Forgotten Island content also showed major differences from the original. Consequently, the Tower of Insolence could also take a significantly different form.
