The Legends proved why they were Legends. Despite coming off a severe slump with recent losses, kt Rolster defeated Hanjin BRION—the top team of the Rise Group—3-2 after a fierce battle to secure a Playoff spot as the 5th seed.

In Game 1, kt Rolster got off to a great start as Bdd's Ryze roamed bottom to help eliminate Hanjin BRION's bot duo. kt Rolster picked off Namgung's Milio once again, but Hanjin BRION pulled ahead in total kills thanks to Casting's Kled making plays across both top and bottom lanes. Following a brief lull, kt Rolster scored a clean teamfight victory around the Dragon pit and claimed Baron.
kt Rolster snowballed with the Baron buff to build a sizable gold lead. Winning the next teamfight, they secured another Baron and the Dragon Soul. In the final battle, Jiwoo's Miss Fortune scored a Pentakill, sealing the opening game for kt Rolster.
In Game 2, kt Rolster scored first blood, but Hanjin BRION stayed even in gold by securing early Dragons. Although kt Rolster won the first teamfight, Hanjin BRION took control during the chaotic skirmishes that followed—stacking their third Dragon, winning a major battle, and taking Baron. As the next Dragon spawned, kt Rolster refused to yield the Dragon Soul without a fight, leading to a tense standoff. Hanjin BRION claimed the Dragon Soul and picked off PerfecT's Ornn. Confident in teamfights, Hanjin BRION wiped out all enemy champions at the Elder Dragon fight to tie the series 1-1.
Hanjin BRION carried their momentum into Game 3. Roamer's LeBlanc scaled rapidly after taking most of the team's kills, while kt Rolster suffered as Jiwoo's Sivir—the carry who could least afford to fall—was repeatedly eliminated. Consistently stacking Dragons and securing Baron, Hanjin BRION built nearly a 10,000 gold lead by the 29-minute mark. With complete control over the enemy jungle, Hanjin BRION easily took the Dragon Soul to overpower kt Rolster and take a 2-1 lead.
In Game 4, both teams played cautiously, with no kills occurring before the 10-minute mark. First blood came when Roamer's Locke roamed top to eliminate PerfecT's Ambessa, while kt Rolster secured two early Dragon stacks. Shortly after, kt Rolster won a teamfight near the Dragon pit thanks to a brilliant ultimate angle from Effort's Seraphine, picking up three kills.
However, Hanjin BRION reclaimed the gold lead by wiping out the remaining kt Rolster champions who attempted to collapse on Locke in the top lane. Hanjin BRION controlled the Rift with aggressive plays, but kt Rolster scored a decisive teamfight win near the Baron pit and took Baron, flipping the gold advantage back in their favor. kt Rolster then closed out the final teamfight in dominant fashion, evening the series at 2-2 to push the match to a final game.
With everything on the line in Game 5, both teams approached the early game with extreme caution, resulting in zero kills through the first 10 minutes. Investing heavily in Jiwoo's Zeri, kt Rolster stacked Dragons effectively while Zeri picked up two kills in skirmishes, putting kt Rolster in a solid position. Hanjin BRION initiated Rift Herald first, and though kt Rolster rotated late, the situation ended without escalating into a major fight.
Shortly after, Zeri added another kill to her tally, but Hanjin BRION quickly burst Zeri down in a Dragon fight and rotated toward Baron. Finding it too risky to finish Baron, they conceded the tempo, allowing kt Rolster to collect their third Dragon stack. The game quieted down until the next Dragon spawned, where Hanjin BRION once again caught Zeri immediately, winning the teamfight and securing Baron.
However, at the following Dragon, kt Rolster pushed Hanjin BRION back to claim the Dragon Soul. Although Hanjin BRION held a slim gold lead, the upcoming skirmishes around Baron and Elder Dragon became paramount. Amid an intense standoff, both teams traded top laners, and kt Rolster started Elder Dragon first. Hanjin BRION calmly navigated the teamfight to win it and secure the Elder Dragon buff.
With the Elder Dragon buff, Hanjin BRION pushed down top lane to destroy the top inhibitor and one Nexus tower. Hanjin BRION pressed on, continuing their assault while still holding the Baron buff. However, powered by Zeri, kt Rolster scored four kills—eliminating everyone except Zed—to successfully defend their base. The next Elder Dragon spawn served as the ultimate turning point: kt Rolster pushed out the mid lane to sow confusion in Hanjin BRION's ranks, won the final teamfight, and defeated Hanjin BRION 3-2.
