Gamein Foundation (Chairperson Lee Na-jung) is co-hosting the 4th 'Digital Law Education' program with Seongnam Youth & Young Adult Foundation (CEO Yang Kyung-seok) and the incorporated association Onyul (Co-Chairpersons Yoon Se-ri and Lee In-yong).

The Digital Law Education program, running from August 26 to September 1, is an initiative that combines the expertise and capabilities of the co-hosting organizations. Attorneys from the incorporated association Onyul and Yulchon LLC will directly visit seven first-year classes at Taepyeong Middle School in Seongnam to conduct the sessions.

This program focuses on enhancing digital ethics awareness to foster a healthy digital culture and helping youth grow into future talent equipped with proper legal knowledge and a sense of responsibility. It uses a case-oriented approach to cover legal issues closely linked to teenagers' daily lives, including basic concepts of criminal law, cases of defamation and insults on social media, deepfake crimes, and the legal status of juvenile offenders. Additionally, career mentoring sessions will be conducted to introduce the role, actual duties, and required competencies of attorneys.

Gamein Foundation stated, "Through this education program, now in its fourth year, we hope young people will gain proper legal knowledge and a sense of responsibility in a rapidly changing digital environment, while developing the capacity to independently respond to new technologies and societal changes."

Onyul stated, "Youth digital culture is emerging as a major social agenda, as seen in recent discussions regarding regulations on teenage social media use. We hope this education serves as an opportunity for young people to understand the law—which they may find somewhat difficult—in an easy and approachable way."

Yang Kyung-seok, CEO of Seongnam Youth & Young Adult Foundation, stated, "We will continue to collaborate with specialized organizations to enhance young people's digital citizenship capabilities and support them in growing into the talent needed for future society."

Attorney Kim Pureun-sol of Yulchon LLC, who participated as an instructor for this session, remarked, "Along with the spread of artificial intelligence, the relationships and conflicts that young people experience in digital spaces are becoming increasingly complex." She added, "Through this legal education, I hope students take time to reflect on the ethics they should uphold online and the legal responsibilities that follow their actions."

Meanwhile, Gamein Foundation plans to continue providing scholarships and educational support to strengthen youth digital capabilities and establish a healthy online culture.
