GentleManiac (co-CEOs Bok Gyu-dong and Lee Tae-woong), a developer specializing in subculture games, announced on August 27 that it has released a new content update for its mobile real-time strategy SRPG Horizon Walker.

The highlight of this update is the limited-time 2nd anniversary event "A Toast to Our Two Years" and the release of new character "Juja," selected through a user design contest. Aiming for a "classy villain" concept, Juja was selected from last year's fan design contest, faithfully incorporating players' preferences in both design and character personality. Alongside Juja's release, an event offers attendance rewards and a Season Pass featuring an exclusive skin, allowing players to obtain costumes as well as a variety of additional in-game items and currencies.

Beyond the new character, the 2nd anniversary event "A Toast to Our Two Years" is now live. Featuring an event story depicting a playful feud among Vanguards competing to be the Human God's partner, the event offers generous rewards, including attendance bonuses and two commemorative costumes obtainable through participation.

Additionally, a "Start Dash" system has been added, allowing players an unlimited number of redraws once per account until they obtain their desired character. This enables new players to jump straight into two years' worth of accumulated content without entry barriers, while giving existing players an opportunity to acquire characters they previously missed.

Existing game modes are also receiving expansions. The existing "Rifts" and "Special Training Ground" modes have both been expanded. Rifts, a mode where players challenge higher floors to gain growth materials, now features even higher floor tiers with greater rewards. Meanwhile, "Larina's Special Training Ground," where players test their party's prowess against monsters to earn rewards, now includes new monsters for fresh tactical challenges.

Various promotions are also planned, including a purchase count reset for 1+1 Extercium packages. On the offline front, a 3-day player appreciation event celebrating the 2nd anniversary will be held starting August 28 at Afternoon Coffee in Hongdae, Mapo-gu, Seoul, creating a festive space for players to celebrate together.
