Nexon (co-CEOs Dae-hyun Kang and Jung-wook Kim) announced on August 25 that the Korea-Australia joint team '777rs' achieved its first league victory in the final cycle of the APAC League of the 'TGM Online Series (The Grand Major Online Series),' a global esports tournament for the team-based FPS game 'THE FINALS®' developed by its subsidiary Embark Studios (CEO Patrick Söderlund).

This cycle was the final cycle of the official 'THE FINALS' esports 'TGM Online Series,' serving as the stage to finalize the qualification setup for the main event and qualifiers of the year-end international tournament 'Grand Major 2026.' The TOP 8 finals for the fourth APAC cycle were broadcast live globally on August 22, featuring a total of eight teams: Korea's 'Ape Squad (formerly HYBU)' and 'MIRGG,' China's 'KingZero' and 'DRG,' the Korea-Australia joint team '777rs,' Japan's 'Hanabi' and 'Tsukuyomi,' and the Singapore-Indonesia joint team 'Gunflix.'

On the 'Las Vegas' map, '777rs,' 'MIRGG,' 'DRG,' and 'KingZero' clashed, with '777rs' and 'MIRGG' successfully holding off the Chinese teams to advance to the final match. The final showdown then unfolded across 'Las Vegas' and 'Bernal.' '777rs' deployed a defense-heavy Heavy-Heavy-Light combination, while 'MIRGG' countered with a Heavy-Medium-Light lineup built for sustainability. '777rs' pulled off four consecutive successful Cashouts to claim their first series championship. '777rs' was awarded 100 points and $2,000 in prize money, while official Korean broadcast channels CHZZK and SOOP hosted a user Drops event giving away Naver Pay gift vouchers.

With this, all cycles of the 'TGM Online Series' APAC League, which ran for about four months, have come to a close. Representative teams from three regions—APAC (Asia-Pacific), AMERICAS (Americas), and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa)—will now enter full-fledged competition for the $150,000 global final tournament, 'Grand Major 2026.' 'KingZero,' who claimed first place on the APAC Online Leaderboard, advances directly to the 'Grand Major 2026' main event. Meanwhile, 'Ape Squad,' 'DRG,' and '777rs'—who climbed to fourth place with their victory in this cycle—along with 'MIRGG,' advance to the Closed Qualifiers, while teams ranked 6th through 9th automatically qualify for the Open Qualifiers to continue their fight for the main event.

Nexon is currently accepting applications for the Open Qualifiers, the final opportunity to advance to 'Grand Major 2026.' Registration is available on the official tournament host 'FACEIT' website until 12:00 PM on September 5, and anyone can apply by forming a team of up to four players, including one substitute.
