Detailed stage events have been fully revealed for GXG 2026 (Game Culture X Generation 2026), a game culture festival hosted by Seongnam City (Mayor Shin Sang-jin) and co-organized by the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency (President Lee Joo-yeon) and the Game Culture Foundation (Chairman Yoo Byung-han). The festival will take place on a large scale from September 11 to 12 around Pangyo Station Square.

On September 11, the first day of the festival, the opening stage will kick off the event. WooJooGolChiClub, the winner of last year's SOUND TRACK competition, will take the stage to warm up the crowd, followed by an opening declaration from Seongnam Mayor Shin Sang-jin. Afterwards, Dynamic Duo, one of Korea's iconic hip-hop groups, will bring explosive energy to connect with the audience.

Next, the finals of "The 3rd GXG SOUND TRACK," one of the core programs of the event, will unfold. Six finalist teams that have reinterpreted game lore, characters, and gameplay experiences into their own musical styles will perform original tracks with distinct charms. For judging the competition, online advance voting will be held from August 28 to September 10, and the results will be combined with on-site voting on the day of the finals to determine the grand champion.

On September 12, the "GXG Gala Concert" will take place, offering a chance to experience the colorful charms of game music across various genres. The lineup includes a live performance of game OSTs by Ensemble HEAL, Neople's cellist ensemble composed of musicians with disabilities, as well as a special "Game Sound Series" stage by the Contemporary Gugak Orchestra of the National Gugak Center, which reimagines game music through traditional Korean music. In addition, teams that advanced to "The 3rd GXG SOUND TRACK" held the previous day will return to the stage to perform their competition songs and choice pieces, delivering deep emotion to visitors.

On September 10, before the main event begins, a pre-festival event will be held to offer an advance taste of the festival's music. From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. that day on Pangyo Content Street, five corporate worker bands made up of game and IT industry personnel will host "GXG Busking Time." Transforming from ordinary office workers into stylish musicians, they will present live performances filled with each team's unique personality.

Blending diverse genres such as band music, hip-hop, cello ensembles, and Korean traditional music, this festival is expected to offer a special experience where games converge with music to expand into new cultural content.
