Global game publisher VALOFE (CEO Shin Jae-myung) announced on the 24th that following an earnings surprise in Q2, key executives and employees, including the CEO, are purchasing treasury shares on the open market to enhance corporate value and strengthen their commitment to responsible management.
The company explained that this stock purchase holds significant meaning as executives and employees, including the CEO, participated via open-market buys to strengthen responsible management, reflecting confidence in sustainable growth directly as shareholders. In particular, this purchase by staff and executives comes as an extension of recent corporate value enhancement efforts, including share buybacks and cancellations and strengthened IR activities.
VALOFE continues to take active steps to boost shareholder value. According to a recent substantial shareholding report, CEO Shin Jae-myung, the largest shareholder, demonstrated confidence in corporate growth by purchasing an additional 97,000 shares on the open market. Additionally, the company is actively pursuing shareholder return policies, having acquired 1 billion won worth of treasury shares and completing the full retirement of the repurchased stock.
A company official stated, "The share purchases by the CEO and employees demonstrate trust in the company's growth potential and corporate value. We are striving to create a virtuous cycle of sharing achievements with shareholders by strengthening business competitiveness and enhancing enterprise value."
They added, "In addition to the recent buyback and cancellation of treasury shares, we are continuously reviewing various shareholder return policies. We will continue to actively communicate with the market and do our utmost to enhance corporate and shareholder value."
Meanwhile, following record-high performance in Q1 of this year, VALOFE posted Q2 cumulative revenue of 23.2 billion won and an operating profit of 2.7 billion won, driven by global performance from Chaos W and Last Origin. This marks three consecutive quarters of setting record quarterly results, maintaining steep growth.
