Dplus KIA defeated Gen.G 2-1 in the final match of Round 4 of the '2026 LoL Champions Korea (LCK)' held at Jonggak Chzzk LoL Park on August 22. Although Gen.G lost to DK, taking the match to a full three-game series was enough to secure first place in the regular season.

In Game 1, during a level-2 bot lane skirmish, Ruler's Ezreal made a super play to take down Smash's Yunara. When Lucid's Vi moved to the bot lane, Ezreal eliminated Vi as well, giving Gen.G a massive early lead. DK brought their mid laner down to the bot lane to shut down Ezreal, but ShowMaker's Locke also fell, and Gen.G secured the Dragon, making it a favorable exchange for Gen.G.

Gen.G continued to stack advantages and run the game in their favor. DK needed a decisive move, and they committed four players to the bot lane even at the cost of giving up top, displaying great prowess by juggling aggro to perfection to shut down Olaf, Seraphine, and Pantheon. While the match wasn't going entirely as planned for Gen.G, they steadily built up Dragon stacks.

In an effort to snowball further, Gen.G started Baron, but Ezreal was caught out, allowing DK to push Gen.G back and secure Baron for themselves. Gen.G claimed the Dragon Soul, but by the 29-minute mark, the gold gap was only around 3,000. Ultimately, however, Gen.G fought calmly in the final teamfight to overcome DK and take Game 1.

In Game 2, Gen.G grabbed a total of three kills during Voidgrub fights, with Kiin's Twisted Fate securing two kills and Canyon's Xin Zhao taking one. DK countered in the bot lane around Lucid's Lee Sin, picking off Bard and Xin Zhao while securing their second Dragon stack. In response, Gen.G's Twisted Fate, assisted by Bard, eliminated Siwoo's Gnar.

Gen.G then set up a play in mid to target Viktor, but Lee Sin turned crisis into opportunity with a spectacular play, recording a triple kill. In the subsequent Dragon fight, Lee Sin secured the Dragon as well, putting DK at three stacks. However, Gen.G kept Ruler's Caitlyn growing with incremental kills, denied DK's Dragon Soul timing, and won a teamfight. A battle then erupted around mid lane setups, which DK won to claim Baron. DK neatly won the final teamfight as well to tie the series 1-1.

In the deciding Game 3, DK swung the momentum entirely in their favor when Lucid's Maokai made sharp ganks to target the bot lane, taking down Duro's Renata, and then caught Chovy's Syndra in mid. Furthermore, Smash's Lucian and Career's Milio eliminated Canyon's Wukong. Although Siwoo's Jayce fell in the top lane, DK secured a massive advantage by diving bot to take down Kiin's Gragas and Chovy's Syndra, who had joined via Teleport.

Gen.G fought back hard. They executed an aggressive play in top with Renata and Gragas, managing to take down DK's entire bot duo. Gen.G stayed close behind using Gragas' playmaking variables, keeping the gold gap small. Then, at the 22-minute Dragon fight, a major teamfight broke out; DK gave up the Dragon but won the teamfight.

After killing Wukong, DK started Baron, and upon securing it, wiped out the remaining enemies to score an Ace. From there, DK overwhelmed Gen.G with clean gameplay, closing out their final regular season match with a 2-1 victory.
