The Korea Association of Game Industry (Chairman Jo Yeong-gi, K-GAMES) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Gyeonggi Content Agency (President Tak Yong-seok) on the 18th to foster a healthy gaming culture and share the positive values of games.
This agreement was initiated to promote the social and cultural significance of games and to strengthen the foundation for a more positive public perception of the industry. Through this partnership, both organizations plan to jointly plan and produce campaign content that highlights the positive value of games. They have also agreed to collaborate on various initiatives, including support projects for social contribution-oriented game content, to solidify a healthy gaming culture.
In particular, the two organizations will jointly promote the Korea Association of Game Industry’s institutional cooperation-based campaign for positive gaming culture by linking it with the Gyeonggi Content Agency’s support project for social contribution-oriented game content. Based on this, they plan to expand social consensus by producing and distributing campaign materials that showcase the positive impact of games and their role in social contribution. The newly created content will be used in various public interest promotional activities to continuously highlight the value and social role of games.
Chairman Jo Yeong-gi stated, "Games are a representative cultural content of South Korea that goes beyond mere entertainment to create diverse values in education, communication, and social contribution. Through this cooperation with the Gyeonggi Content Agency, we will continue to discover and disseminate content that allows the public to better relate to the positive role of games, and we will take the lead in fostering a healthy gaming culture."
