To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Pokémon, Pokémon Korea will host a large-scale summer festival from the 16th to the 31st at the Lotte World Tower Arena Square and the surrounding Lotte World Mall. This marks the first collaborative project for the 'Summer Market' initiative, newly launched by Lotte Department Store.

Pokémon Korea (CEO Lim Jae-beom) announced on the 6th that it will partner with Lotte Department Store Jamsil to hold the '2026 Lotte Town Summer Market - Pokémon Mega Festa 2026: Pokémon Starlight Paradise' (hereinafter 'Pokémon Starlight Paradise') from the 16th to the 31st, as part of the Pokémon 30th-anniversary project.

'Pokémon Starlight Paradise' is the first collaboration for the 'Lotte Town Summer Market,' a new initiative by Lotte Department Store designed to provide fresh attractions and entertainment in the summer, following the success of its annual 'Christmas Market.' During the event, the Jamsil area will be transformed into a Pokémon-themed space inspired by a mystical paradise under a shower of summer starlight.

A large indoor dome shaped like a Poké Ball will be set up at the Lotte World Tower Arena lawn, the main event venue. Inside the dome, a massive water channel over 12 meters long will be installed, allowing visitors to see Magikarp swimming up close. A giant LED waterfall and beam projections covering the entire dome ceiling will complete the unique visual experience. This space will also feature licensed collaboration merchandise from 10 brands, including Lotte Giants, Uniqlo, and LEGO.

Nine F&B brands, including Soul Market Pizzeria, Monja-sang, All Too Delicious, Misulgye, Ramy, 123 Gelato, Saddler Haus, Crepe Herb, and Matte Black, will operate from outdoor container booths. Visitors can enjoy various food and drinks, such as 'Pikachu' tonkatsu and crepes, featuring the Pokémon IP. In the outdoor dining area, a 'Starlight Magikarp Wish Card' event will allow guests to hang cards with their wishes in the center of the venue, which is expected to be a hit with couples and families.

During the same period, a special Magikarp-themed pop-up store, 'Pokémon Utopia,' will open in the Lotte World Mall Atrium on the first floor. The store will showcase exclusive new products, including 'Magikarp, It's Okay to Be Weak! MD,' Pokémon anime OST albums, 'Pokémon Center Transformation! Metamon Series' plushies and mascot keyrings, and the Ichiban Kuji Pokémon 30th Anniversary vol. 1. In line with the theme, the mobile game Pokémon GO will also host a Magikarp mass outbreak event at scheduled times.

Participation in 'Pokémon Starlight Paradise' is by advance reservation only. Reservations will open on the Lotte ON and Lotte Department Store Mall websites in two rounds on August 7 and 18, with each account allowed to register for one additional guest. Visitors who have made a reservation and complete a 'Starlight Magikarp Wish Card' on-site will receive one 'Promo Card Magikarp' per account. Those who spend over ₩100k will receive a 'Magikarp Bandana' or 'Magikarp Plush Cup Holder' on a first-come, first-served basis. Note that the 'Pokémon Utopia' pop-up store in the Lotte World Mall Atrium requires a separate on-site reservation for entry, and the 'Promo Card Magikarp' benefit for 'Pokémon Starlight Paradise' pre-registrants does not apply there.
