Netmarble (CEO Kim Byung-kyu) announced on the 16th that it has updated its open-world RPG 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin' (developed by Netmarble F&C) to include a new hero, 'Gowther,' and a new main story chapter.

'Gowther' is a sorcerer doll that craves human emotions and is a member of 'The Seven Deadly Sins' who uses unique abilities to manipulate the minds and memories of others.

In 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin,' Gowther wields three types of weapons: a wand, a grimoire, and a staff. The wand utilizes lightning-attribute bursts to unleash powerful firepower while supporting allies' attack power, while the grimoire controls the flow of battle with tactical skills that link and pull enemies together. The staff is characterized by its ability to support strategic combat through buffs and debuffs, such as enhancing allies' lightning-attribute abilities and weakening enemy resistance. A trial event will run until August 5, rewarding players with 'Star Fragments,' 'Superior Mastery EXP,' and 'Growth Materials' for testing out Gowther.

Main Story Act 15 has also been released. The new narrative unfolds following a raid by barbarians on a northern garrison, leading players to encounter unexpected characters as they track down the truth behind the incident.

The Order of Knights content has been significantly revamped with the addition of 'Order Boss Battles,' where members cooperate to defeat bosses, and 'Order Rankings,' which allow different orders to compete against one another. Additionally, a new boss challenge, '「Corrupted」 Barbarian Chief Durak,' has been added

Netmarble is hosting various events to celebrate the update. The 14-day attendance event, 'Journey to Find the Heart,' runs until August 26 and offers various growth rewards, including pick-up hero draw tickets, gold, ingot selection chests, cube key bundles, and radiant bound seals. Furthermore, the 'Decide! Twigo' event, running from July 22 to August 5, allows players to earn event tickets by completing missions such as logging in, crafting, and pet exploration. During fever time, players can obtain rewards including gold, ingots, sunstones, and star fragments.
