Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige attended Bilibili World to share his vision for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and reveal behind-the-scenes casting stories.
Ahead of the release of Doomsday this December, Feige appeared on the Bilibili World UP Main Stage at 12:00 PM local time on the 11st to greet fans. While the lead actors of Doomsday did not attend in person, they shared their gratitude through video messages.
Feige later answered questions from Bilibili creators. When asked about the introduction of more female heroes, he replied, "The X-Men will join the MCU soon, and you will meet a truly diverse and compelling cast of heroes within that world." Regarding the casting of Robert Downey Jr.—who previously played Iron Man—as Doctor Doom, he explained, "Doctor Doom is a pivotal character in the Marvel Universe. I was confident that the actor who played the greatest hero could also perfectly embody the greatest villain, so I asked him directly, and he gladly accepted."

When asked about his most anticipated or favorite rivalries and themes, he explained that the core of Marvel lies in its 'strange alchemy.' He described the essence of Marvel as bringing together heroes who seem unlikely to get along, compelling them to work as a team to save the world, and pointed to the Avengers, the new generation of Avengers, and the eventual inclusion of the X-Men as examples.
Finally, addressing questions about upcoming films, he reiterated that Avengers: Secret Wars will follow Avengers: Doomsday (releasing in December), with the X-Men joining the MCU thereafter. "I started the X-Men project a long time ago, and I am truly excited to finally bring this new version into the MCU," he said.
Along with these remarks, Feige unveiled the character designs for all those appearing after Doomsday for the first time at Bilibili World. The concept art features the Avengers gathered around Doctor Doom, while the bottom of the design showcases key figures from the X-Men universe, led by Cyclops, who also appeared in the Doomsday trailer. While it was not specified which other mutants besides Cyclops would appear in Doomsday, the reveal of these designs suggests that more detailed information will be shared in the future.
Avengers: Doomsday, the first film to feature the newly refined X-Men universe characters, will be released in North America on December 18 and in Korea this December. Further details will be released through official channels, including YouTube, at a later date.
