Chaos Zero Nightmare (hereinafter 'Chaos Zero Nightmare'), a dark fantasy roguelike RPG serviced by Smilegate and developed by Super Creative, held a panel session for fans at Anime Expo 2026, North America's largest subculture festival currently taking place in Los Angeles, to reveal the first details of its new 'Galactic Disaster' season.
The panel session was held on Friday, the 3rd (local time), from 7:45 PM to 9:05 PM at the LA Convention Center conference hall. Super Creative PD Kim Hyung-suk, the main speaker, shared the development history of Chaos Zero Nightmare, engaging with fans by recounting the challenges faced during development and the intense efforts made to ensure the game's 'fun' factor. He particularly emphasized, "I believe the core that connects the past, present, and future of subculture games is ultimately the 'sincerity' of the developers," expressing his affection for the game and his commitment to further enhancing its quality.
The presentation also featured the first reveal of the new Galactic Disaster season, which is scheduled for an update this July. According to the announcement, the new season is officially titled 'Season 4: Broken Light and Claws' and is set to launch on July 29. Additionally, illustrations, lore, and in-development skill animations for the new combatants 'Hilde,' 'Arabella,' and 'Olga' were unveiled. Hilde wields a bow, Arabella uses a whip-like 'snake sword,' and Olga carries a giant scythe, each showcasing unique charms distinct from existing combatants.
A new character appearance customization system currently in development was also showcased. This system adds exclusive voice lines and stories when characters wear 'casual outfits.' Starting this summer with seasonal combatants like 'Heidemarie' and 'Sereniel,' the team plans to introduce casual outfits for a variety of characters.
Smilegate plans to release further information regarding the new season in Korea and other global regions.
