KRAFTON has opened global pre-registration for 'Astro Arena,' a new casual 3v3 PVP mobile game developed by PUBG STUDIOS, ahead of its official launch on July 9.
Pre-registration begins on the 4th via Google Play and the Apple App Store. 'Astro Arena' will be released first in seven countries: India, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Mexico, Brazil, and the United States.
The game is a casual action game set in a universe where guardians tasked with maintaining cosmic balance compete to determine the strongest among them in the 'Star Clash Tournament.'
KRAFTON has adopted the slogan, 'A whole new battle royale across the universe.'
Players engage in combat from a top-down perspective, choosing from a roster of unique characters. They can grow their characters by collecting 'Star Cores' scattered across the map and utilize unique skills to engage in strategic combat.
Game modes include solo and duo battle royale, team deathmatch, and training. The core battle royale mode is designed for fast-paced matches lasting approximately 3 to 5 minutes.
Previously developed under the codename 'Project Europa,' the game recently completed pre-testing in India under the title 'Tarasona: Battle Royale.'
Analysts suggest that after securing India's hardcore shooter player base with 'PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Mobile,' KRAFTON is now looking to capture the casual player demographic with 'Astro Arena.'
Meanwhile, the domestic service and testing schedule for 'Astro Arena' have not yet been determined.
