Dplus KIA defeated DRX 2-1 in their 2026 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) regular season Round 2 match held at LoL PARK in Jonggak on the 29th.

Perhaps because the match result did not impact the Road to MSI, DK fielded Kim 'Chabel' Dan-woo instead of Choi 'Lucid' Yong-hyuk for his LCK debut. KRX also made a change, benching 'LazyFeel' to bring back Jung 'Jiwoo' Ji-woo. Ultimately, 'Chabel' delivered an impressive debut performance.

Early in Game 1, 'Siwoo's' Vayne and 'Rich's' Gnar engaged at level 1, resulting in a 1-for-1 trade. They clashed again in the top lane shortly after, where Vayne secured a kill on Gnar, and DK also found success in the bottom lane. The game remained relatively quiet, with both teams minimizing skirmishes to focus on scaling.

DK consistently secured Dragons to prepare for the late game. When KRX attempted to contest the third Dragon, DK won the teamfight and quickly reached three stacks. After winning a subsequent mid-lane skirmish, DK widened the gold gap, secured the next Dragon, and rode the momentum of Lucian and Vayne to take the first game.

In Game 2, KRX's 'Willer' attempted a level 2 gank on the bottom lane with Lee Sin, forcing the opposing duo to burn their Summoner Spells. They followed up with a dive, taking down 'Smash's' Ashe and 'Kellin's' Seraphine. KRX's bottom lane continued to aggressively target Ashe before her Flash returned.

With the lead, KRX secured three Dragon stacks and used the strength of Yuna and Lee Sin to take down 'ShowMaker's' Taliyah and 'Smash's' Ashe in the mid lane. By the 19-minute mark, KRX held a significant advantage with three Dragons and a gold lead of over 5k. KRX leveraged this power to secure the Dragon Soul and Baron, winning the game to tie the series 1-1.

In the final third game, 'Rich's' Rumble stayed in lane too long, allowing 'Siwoo's' Galio to secure first blood. DK's 'Chabel,' playing Jarvan, engaged with Bard to force out Jhin's Flash, but KRX's 'Willer' responded quickly with his ultimate skill on Pantheon to take down Jarvan.

When KRX attempted to take a Dragon, DK used Bard's ultimate skill to freeze the objective, quickly eliminated Jhin, and then took down Pantheon before securing the Dragon themselves. KRX narrowly avoided a major disaster in the bottom lane thanks to 'Jiwoo's' Jhin maneuvering to safety.

Shortly after, Aurora took down Pantheon, and Jarvan secured a second Dragon. KRX suffered further losses while attempting to target Miss Fortune in the mid lane, shifting the advantage toward DK. Having seized control, DK continued to win subsequent skirmishes and defeated KRX 2-1.
