Details for the Diablo IV 3.1.0 Public Test Server (PTR) have been released. The PTR will run from 2:00 AM on Wednesday, June 3, to 2:00 AM on Wednesday, June 10 (KST). This update will feature content focused on bosses for Season 14, new seasonal content, a Solo Self-Found (SSF) mode, and the Mythic Item 3 system.
The core update for the upcoming season is new content called 'Realmwalker Rifts.' Rifts appearing throughout Sanctuary will summon existing bosses and a new enemy type called the 'Resurrected.' Rifts are categorized into standard rifts found across Sanctuary, including in Helltides; 'Overflowing Rifts' that replace Helltide regional events; and 'Massive Rifts' found only in the Fields of Profanity southeast of Zarbinzet. Additionally, Rift Goblins may also open rifts.
The 'Worldwalker' from Season 6 is also returning. Worldwalkers are summoned during Realmwalker Rift activities; defeating them opens a portal to the 'Chamber of Death's Weight.' This chamber is a single-room mini-dungeon accessible by defeating a Worldwalker or through Nightmare Dungeons with rift affixes. Players can complete special rift activities within the chamber to earn new rewards.

Beyond Realmwalker Rifts, various other updates are planned. First, the Mythic grade system is being revamped. In Season 14, all Unique items can drop as Mythic items. Mythic items will no longer be a specific category of items, but rather a higher grade of Unique items.
Existing Unique items can be upgraded to Mythic grade using seasonal resources, though players can only equip one crafted Mythic item at a time. It is possible to equip multiple Mythic items if they are obtained as drops. Additionally, players will be able to reroll stats on Unique items and Unique Amulets using 'Focused Rerolling' and 'Chaos Rerolling.
A new boss is also being added. The 'Fallen Reaper' lair boss can be found at the edge of the Realm of Chaos in Zarbinzet. This boss is expected to appear in the Season 14 campaign. Players can open the cache using a Superior Lair Boss Key, which offers a higher probability of dropping Mythic items and Mythic upgrade resources than any other content in Sanctuary.
A Solo Self-Found (SSF) mode is also being added. SSF mode is available only for seasonal characters and prohibits party play and trading. SSF characters cannot share inventories, resources, or Paragon levels with non-SSF characters. Furthermore, separate leaderboards for SSF and Hardcore SSF characters will be introduced.
Additional quality-of-life improvements include increasing the Obol cap to 25,000, boosting base EXP for Infernal Hordes, and changing Helltide War Plan completion requirements from opening chests to collecting Cinders. The PTR will also support boosting features to allow for rapid character progression.
