kt Rolster defeated Nongshim RedForce 2-1 in their 2026 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) regular season Round 2 match held at LoL PARK in Jonggak on the 20th. Despite having to emergency call up Park 'Fenrir' Gang-jun after Kim 'Aiming' Ha-ram was sidelined due to health issues, kt Rolster successfully overcame the challenge.

Nongshim targeted the bottom lane in 'Aiming's' absence. After applying early pressure on 'Fenrir's' Lucian with aggressive trades, 'Sponge's' Lee Sin joined in to secure a clean kill. 'Cuzz's' Naafiri also landed a bottom lane gank to take down 'Lehends'' Nami.

Nongshim then looked to pressure the bottom lane after taking a dragon, but kt Rolster responded with Naafiri and Annie, leading to a trade of kills. 'Cuzz' targeted the bottom lane again, this time taking down 'Diable's' Ezreal. However, Nongshim regained the lead with consecutive kills in the mid and bottom lanes and quickly stacked two dragons.

With the bottom lane struggling, 'Diable' began to shine in teamfights for Nongshim. Notably, after a quadra kill by 'Diable' in a 18-minute skirmish, Nongshim overwhelmed their opponents, extended their gold lead to 9,000, and destroyed KT's Nexus in just 23 minutes.

The balance shifted early in the second set as well. KT pressured the bottom lane and attempted a counter-jungle, but Nongshim managed their aggro well, with 'Diable's' Yu Na-ra and 'Sponge's' Xin Zhao each picking up a kill. KT recovered from the deficit by catching Xin Zhao and Lulu during a dragon contest and securing the objective.

KT then caught 'Diable' in a 2v2 fight in the bottom lane. While KT was taking the dragon, Nongshim attempted a flank. In the ensuing fight, Yu Na-ra took down Miss Fortune and eventually Gnar, allowing Nongshim to gain a significant advantage.

With the gold gap remaining narrow, KT won a mid-lane skirmish to break Nongshim's momentum. Nongshim then started the Baron. Despite the opponents closing in, they continued the attempt, but 'Cuzz's' Jarvan IV stole the Baron and led KT to a decisive teamfight victory. This massive swing pushed the gold lead to 8,000, and KT won the final teamfight to tie the series 1-1.

In the final third set, 'Cuzz's' Pantheon caught 'Kingen's' Yorick with a top-lane gank. A chaotic brawl followed, with Nongshim gaining a slight edge in the bottom lane. However, KT immediately responded by catching 'Diable's' Caitlyn in the mid lane. Nongshim faltered; their attempts to execute set plays lacked precision, allowing KT to capitalize.

Nongshim countered KT's aggression in the top lane, picking up three kills. Riding this momentum, they deployed the Rift Herald in the mid lane to destroy the first-tier turret. KT responded by having Zahan use Teleport behind the mid lane, combining it with Taliyah's ultimate to ambush the opponents and take down Caitlyn and Skarner

Nongshim targeted 'Perfect's' Zahan, who had been deathless, forcing out his Flash and securing a kill. KT retaliated by taking down Yorick and then Skarner, who was attempting to protect Twisted Fate, before securing the Baron. With the Baron buff, KT destroyed the mid and bottom inhibitors. They then pushed toward the top lane, slowly dismantling the final inhibitor to pressure Nongshim and secure the series victory for kt Rolster.
