VFive Games (CEO Park Mi-ran) announced on the 6th that it has signed a publishing agreement in Korea for 'Legend of Mir: Jin,' a mobile MMORPG based on the IP of the iconic online game 'Legend of Mir 1' from Actoz Soft (CEO Guo Haibin).
Released in 1998, the original 'Legend of Mir 1' is a representative first-generation Korean MMORPG. Even after its service ended, it remained in the memories of many users who have consistently called for its return.
In particular, 'Legend of Mir: Jin' is the first domestic title to be reborn using the 'Legend of Mir 1' IP based on the 'Legend of Mir' series, and it is scheduled for official release in early June.
The game features a modern reinterpretation of the original's pixel art aesthetic and Eastern worldview, recreating the classic feel in high resolution. It also includes a user-driven economic system where supply and demand are shaped by support for 1:1 player trading.
Furthermore, it faithfully implements the three original classes—Warrior, Mage, and Taoist—along with two sub-classes for each, while introducing various convenience features to maintain the original's sense of progression in a mobile environment.
Players can also enjoy tense gameplay through free-roaming field PK (Player Killing), with a penalty system in place to prevent excessive combat and ensure a fair competitive environment.
In addition, the game enhances the excitement of large-scale battles by implementing core elements of the original, such as 'Siege Warfare,' a guild-versus-guild content that can involve up to hundreds of players.
Further details will be released sequentially in the future.
