Mgame (CEO Kwon Yi-hyeong) announced on the 27th that it has updated its popular comic martial arts MMORPG 'Scions of Fate' with a new class, 'Jin Pung-baek,' and launched a commemorative event.

The newly added 'Jin Pung-baek' is the third disciple of the Heavenly Demon in the original series. Born with a unique constitution known as the 'Heavenly Yin Nine-Section Pulse,' he possesses near-infinite internal energy and is a supreme master. His manic combat prowess, fitting his nickname 'The Demon Who Calls the Blood Rain,' has been faithfully recreated in the game.

In the game, Jin Pung-baek appears as a ranged character who uses his fingers to flick 'Blood Rain Orbs' at enemies. True to the original series, where he consumes his own life force to unleash destructive martial arts, his attack power increases dramatically as his health drops. He also features berserker-like traits, including a chance to revive just before being defeated to exact a final revenge.

Alongside the new character update, Scions of Fate will launch a new server, also named 'Jin Pung-baek,' on April 29. This marks the first new server in approximately six years since 2020, as the game aims to attract a large influx of users.

In addition, a variety of events celebrating the update of the new class and the new 'Jinpungbaek' server will run until June 3.

First, the game is offering exceptional support items for users settling into the new 'Jin Pung-baek' server. All players who log in and enter a serial code during the event period will receive a package of essential items to aid rapid growth, including the 'Life and Death Book' (which protects experience points), 'Auxiliary Bag' (which expands inventory space), and the 'Birami-hwan' (a 5th-tier Ascension accessory).

Dedicated content to support the development of the new character is also available. The 'Raise Jin Pung-baek' event rewards players with useful items for reaching specific levels, and the player who achieves the highest level during the event period will receive a special reward as the ultimate Jin Pung-baek expert.

Other events include a party bonus that increases experience and 'Gi-yeon' (affinity) acquisition by 50% when hunting in a party with a Jin Pung-baek, as well as an hourly quiz event that grants buffs. Players can also receive various buffs by taking a commemorative photo with the 'Jin Pung-baek NPC' in the Hyunbalpa village, and a cooperative event has been prepared where all users can join forces to defeat a giant event monster.

Kang Young-soon, Director of the Scions of Fate Business Division, stated, "We have prepared content that captures the identity of the original series and a wealth of events to meet the expectations of users who have long awaited the arrival of Jin Pung-baek." He added, "Starting with this update, we plan to continuously introduce diverse content, including new dungeons for top-level players."
