KRAFTON attended a business luncheon hosted by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in India on the 20th to discuss ways to foster cooperation in the gaming industry between the two countries. The event was arranged after Prime Minister Modi personally invited representatives from leading Korean companies on the occasion of President Lee Jae-myung's state visit to India.

During the event, KRAFTON stated that it is supporting the local game production ecosystem in India, adding, "We hope this will serve as a turning point for the expansion of the content market between Korea and India." This signals that the foundation for bilateral cooperation is broadening beyond traditional manufacturing to include new industries such as consumer goods and culture.
After listening to the business leaders, Prime Minister Modi emphasized a future-oriented partnership between the two nations and specifically highlighted the gaming sector. He mentioned KRAFTON alongside the core industries of major conglomerates, such as Hyundai Motor's mobility and Samsung Electronics' display business, and expressed his commitment to strengthening future collaboration.
Prime Minister Modi also expressed his determination to boldly expand the scope of the partnership, noting that the two countries are now able to work together in many fields, including culture and the creative economy, through a new framework.
In response to the business leaders, President Lee Jae-myung confirmed that economic cooperation between the two countries is expanding significantly beyond foundational industries like steel and shipbuilding into the realm of cultural content. He further promised that the government would provide active support to ensure that the pioneering efforts of these companies translate into tangible economic results.
Subsequently, during the expanded summit between the leaders of Korea and India held on the 21st, President Lee raised cooperation in the gaming sector as an agenda item and proposed a dramatic strengthening of practical collaboration between the two sides.
Meanwhile, the two countries signed a Digital Bridge Framework to facilitate practical cooperation in high-tech fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, and data governance. As technological exchanges with India—which possesses the world's second-largest pool of IT talent—become more active, the foundation for domestic game and digital content companies, including KRAFTON, to enter the Indian market is expected to be further solidified.
