How long is an average VALORANT maintenanc

VALORANT can go down for maintenance before updates. During this time, servers go offline, and players can't log in to the live servers. These are often conducted when most of the player base is asleep, but fans looking to play actively may wonder about the average duration of a VALORANT maintenance.

I play VALORANT on several different servers, so I've run into my fair share of server maintenance. When servers return to normal, there's a chance that you might also encounter additional errors. For example, VALORANT's competitive queue could be disabled initially, and you may not be able to enter matchmaking for a few minutes. Regardless of your case, all of these problems go away on their own, and here's how long it takes.

How long does server maintenance usually last in VALORANT?

VALORANT server maintenance generally lasts around four to five hours, based on our experiences and also community insights. While there have been cases where maintenance downtime periods resulted faster than expected, it's always better to plan for the longest duration possible.

The most common maintenance windows for VALORANT are as follows:

  • North America (PST): 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Europe (CEST): 12:00 AM - 2:00 AM
  • Brazil Federal District (FDT): 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • South Korea (KST): 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM
  • India (IST): Starting 5:30 AM
  • Peru (PET): 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

If you've made it into the game but receive the VALORANT queue disabled error after maintenance, know that the error is likely to fix itself within five-to-10 minutes. Even when the servers are back, they require some breathing room to settle.

Is the VALORANT maintenance over?

It's difficult to tell when a VALORANT maintenance would end today, on the date. If you're looking to jump back into the game as soon as possible, your best course of action would be following VALORANT's social media platforms for announcements or keeping up with community hubs, like the VALORANT Discord and Reddit, where players share their most recent experiences.

Another great way that I use to keep up with the servers is tuning into Twitch streams since the content creators' audience tends to be the fastest when it comes to informing them of VALORANT's server status.

When a VALORANT maintenance ends, you'll usually need to download a patch, which can vary in size. Sometimes it can be a tiny hotfix, and other times it can be GBs of new content featuring new content like cosmetics, quests, and events.
