On May 12 (KST), SKT T1 and TSM will collide in Round 1 of the 2017 MSI Group Stage Day 2 taking place in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The most notable match-up is the battle between Top-laners Seunghun “Huni” Heo and Kevin “Hauntzer” Yarnell. The recent interviews with the two players have been drawing more attention to this match-up.

Hauntzer, during an interview after the match with C9 on April 24, said that Korean Top-laners - generally in NA LCS - are overrated. “It is not so different from playing against average players. I was not feeling much pressure during the match; they were not as good as their fans say they are” said Hauntzer, causing quite a bit of commotion among fans.

Huni, with his title changed from NA LCS to LCK Top-laner, is also full of confidence. After the excellent match against G2 in the MSI Group Stage Day 1 on April 11, Huni said, “I would like to prove myself as the best Top laner in the year of 2017. My goal is to win every single match of MSI”.

What defining features do the two combatants have? First off, Hauntzer possesses a somewhat heavy style that utilizes tank champions often, but he is also good with carry champions such as Camille or Rumble. He plays Camille notably better than other champions, and we can expect his formidable Camille if a number of top champions are banned. Also, he picked Kennen for the first time in this MSI and carried the team.

On the other hand, Huni prefers carry champions, and is impeccable with Rumble. His Rumble boasts a 100% win rate with 8 wins and 0 losses.
