The Korean LoL National Team Ends the Asia Games Qualifiers In 1st Place

The Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF) has officially announced the results for the 2018 Asian Games regional qualifiers.

The Korean national LoL team ended the East Asia qualifiers in 1st place and will be performing in the main esports event for the 2018 Jakarta-Palemabng Asian Games.

It was expected that the team would face tough competition in the qualifiers since there were numerous ‘gold medal’ contenders in East Asia. However, they managed to pass major regions such as Taiwan and China, eventually finishing in 1st place; it is told that Korea, Taiwan and China went against each other in an additional tiebreaker.

Meanwhile, the Chinese national team, which was mostly composed of members from RNG, did not manage to show the same dominance they did in the MSI. The result was a rather disappointing 3rd place. On the other hand, Taiwan displayed solid performance and came in at a close 2nd.

The following are the official standings for the 2018 Jakarta-Palemabng Asian Games qualifiers.
