Tencent and PUBG introduces PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS Mobile

Tencent has announced the service plan of PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS (PUBG) in China, and two mobile work in progress versions at the Tencent Game Carnival.


Ling Dong Huang, the vice president of Tencent Games, said that the core objective of the service of PUBG on PC in China is a stable server, strict anti-hack control, and a variety of benefits. The game will also have features such as community, trades, and statistics that are exclusive to the Chinese server. Additionally, the company has developed an application for the mobile community, and the Android version is already out on the market.


The two mobile versions of PUBG have also been revealed. The official names of the PUBG mobile games are PUBG Full Strike and PUBG Provoking Battleground.

 

PUBG Full Strike, developed by Timi Studio, is expected to deliver the sense of Battle Royale by providing a 64 km2 battlefield with 100 players competing against each other at the same time. The sea battle will also be updated. The service will be permanently free, and you can pre-order the game now.


The second mobile version called PUBG Provoking Battleground is being developed by Lightspeed and Quantum Studio, but no other details of the game have been revealed.

Meanwhile, Jung Ro Chu, the director of the Marketing Department at Tencent Entertainment, commented that the creation and vitalization of eSports teams, streaming platforms, promotion of content creators, internet cafes, and hardware markets is the ecosystem of PUBG in China.
