One of the most popular third-party Hearthstone events has announced its return for the 2020 season: Battleriff's Pro Legends Series revealed a four-season competition, culminating in a grand final at the end of the year. Throughout the four seasons, a total of $20,000 in prize money will be awarded, as well as two Masters Tour spots for corresponding Masters Tour events.

The structure of the Battleriff Pro Legends 2020 Series is one veteran Hearthstone players are familiar with. During each month-long season, participants use Battleriff's ladder platform to climb and earn points. Those who have 100 points or more can join ongoing Pro Legends seasons at any time. Through a Best of 3, 1-ban Conquest format four players qualify for the LAN finals at the end of each season, held at a still unknown location and prize pool. The two players who come out on top at the end of each regular season also earn themselves a spot at the Masters Tour event corresponding with said Battleriff season.

The first season of Battleriff's Pro Legends Series kicks off this weekend already: the sixth overall season is held from February 29 to March 29. Season 7 lasts from April 15 until May 15, Season 8 from June 15 until July 15, and Season 9 from August 15 until September 15. All matches are played on the European server, but players from all over the world are allowed to participate.
