On April 19, Afreeca Freecs announced that the former bot laner for Liiv SANDBOX, Han “Leo” Gyeo-re, has officially joined their League of Legends roster.

Leo first debuted under T1 in 2018. However, at the time, he had to compete for the starting spot against big names such as Bae “Bang” Jun-sik and Park “Teddy” Jin-seong, so he barely got any stage time. In the 2020 season, he competed as a bot laner for Liiv SANDBOX alongside Moon “Route” Geom-su, but due to LSB heavily underperforming in the 2021 LCK Spring split, he was exempt from the starting roster since the second round robin.

After finishing 9th place in the regular split of 2021 LCK Spring, Afreeca Freecs looks to rebuild their roster and find their momentum for the upcoming Summer split. Once again, Leo will compete for a spot on their starting roster against Bang, just as they did in 2018 at T1.
