LCS concludes Echo Fox investigation, directs organization to 'take appropriate corrective action'



The LCS concluded its preliminary investigation of alleged racist comments made by an Echo Fox shareholder towards co-owner Rick Fox and former CEO Jace Hall on the morning of May 15th. LCS Commissioner Chris Greeley issued a statement via the LoL Esports twitter regarding the next steps of the situation, in which Echo Fox has 60 days to take corrective action. 



The announcement, made through a two-part tweet, reads as follows:

"The LCS has concluded its preliminary investigation into the alleged comments made by a member of the Echo Fox ownership group. Hate speech, threats, and bigotry have no place in the LCS. We have directed Echo Fox to take appropriate corrective action within 60 days.

If Echo Fox does not take action by removing any individuals whose actions violate League rules and agreements within the required time period, the League will take formal action that may adversely impact the future of Echo Fox in the LCS."

Echo Fox is one of ten teams who franchised with the LCS at the start of 2018. Rick Fox founded the organization in 2015 by purchasing Gravity Gaming's NA LCS spot. but if action isn't taken, Echo Fox's association with the LCS may take a turn.
