The Duskbloods, a highly anticipated new venture for FromSoftware and an exclusive title for the Nintendo Switch 2, has announced a network test for the summer of 2026.

During the Nintendo Direct held on the 9th, Nintendo announced a closed network test for The Duskbloods, FromSoftware's new multiplayer action game. The release window was also reaffirmed for 2026.

Nintendo shared only details regarding the closed test alongside a brief video, without disclosing a specific schedule, application process, or further information about the game. However, as it is FromSoftware's first exclusive for the Nintendo Switch 2 and features a playstyle distinct from their previous titles, the test is expected to draw significant attention.

The game centers on online multiplayer, featuring an aesthetic that blends Victorian Gothic atmosphere with dark fantasy. Unlike the developer's previous narrative-driven works, this title will feature unique gameplay where players use specialized weapons and abilities to both fight and cooperate with one another.

This title has garnered attention as FromSoftware's first Nintendo exclusive. Following the success of Elden Ring, there is keen interest in the level of polish FromSoftware will bring to this new online-focused project.
