According to a report by ESPN Esports' Jacob Wolf, Peter Dun is crossing the pond for the 2021 League of Legends esports season. Wolf claims that Dun, who was most recently Head of Coaching Staff for League of Legends European Championship team MAD Lions, is finalizing a deal with North American organization Evil Geniuses to become the team's Head Coach for the 2021 League of Legends Championship Series season.

According to Wolf's report, Evil Geniuses plans to rebuild its roster around jungler Dennis "Svenskeren" Johnsen with Dun at the helm. Heo "Irean" Yeong-cheol, who was the Head Coach for Evil Geniuses in 2020, was let go last week.

Of the seven players EG started in the 2020 LCS, only three other players aside from Svenskeren are still under contract. Top laner Heo "Huni" Seung-hoon was acquired from Dignitas before the start of the Summer Split, and mid laner Daniele "Jiizuke" di Mauro also remains with EG. Support Tristan "Zeyzal" Stidam, who was part of the initial set of players alongside Svenskeren and top laner Colin "Kumo" Zhao that was purchased by EG from Cloud9 before the season.

Dun began his career as an analyst for INTZ in the Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends in 2015 and remained in Brazil for two more seasons as the team's Head Coach. After the conclusion of its 2017 season, MAD Lions — branded as Splyce at the time — hired Dun.

In two seasons as a pivotal part of the team's coaching staff, Dun was integral in Splyce's 2019 World Championship qualification and MAD's post-rebrand Worlds qualification in 2020. The League of Legends offseason doesn't officially begin until the opening of the free agency window on Monday, November 16th at 7:00pm ET.
