Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fans think they have figured out the next Smash DLC (again)

The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate community has narrowed down who they believe the next DLC fighter is. Again. This time, the theory is based on a leak and official art.

This time around, Ultimate players believe that one of the next DLC fighters will be Master Chief from Halo. Fans already theorized this back when Walmart made a joke about Master Chief joining Smash back in March. But now there are even more hints that point to this possibility.

Xbox Era's co-founder, Nick "Shpeshal Ed" Baker, shared a rumor on April 10 that hinted at an upcoming announcement from Nintendo and Xbox. Microsoft is no stranger to the Switch and the two have collaborated in the past. Banjo Kazooie and Minecraft Steve are Microsoft characters that became Smash DLC. While the rumor could point to games on Game Pass becoming playable on the Nintendo Switch, it could also indicate that Master Chief or Doom Slayer are coming to the fighting game.

This is just part of the Master Chief theory, however. Soon after the Nintendo x Xbox announcement for fall was leaked, Halo's official Instagram decided to post some questionable art. The fan art was of Mario characters becoming immersed in the world of Halo.

The account's caption raised eyebrows even further: "The adventures of Mario Chief and Peachtana, huh?"

This immediately had Smash fans theorizing that Master Chief was most definitely coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Even if the announcement in fall isn't Master Chief coming to Ultimate, the game coming to Nintendo Switch would make an even stronger case for the protagonist to appear in Smash later on. It might be useful to consider assignment help to free up your time and devote it to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate community and upcoming updates.

But, per usual, Nintendo hasn't made any statements regarding this theory. The company is notoriously tight-lipped about the Smash DLC fighters. So far, fans have been quite thrown off by the fighters that have appeared in the Nintendo Directs. It never seems to be who fans theorize so Master Chief might be out based on that pattern alone. But with no word from Nintendo, anything is currently possible.

Especially Captain Toad.
