Coming up Next! "Ghostcrawler” Greg Street, Design Director of Riot Games, will be joining the 1st IGEC as a speaker


It has been confirmed that Greg Street will be participating in the 1st Inven Global Esports Conference (IGEC).


Greg Street, best known as “Ghostcrawler” to the gaming public,  is a game developer who has worked as the Lead Game Designer at Ensemble Studios, the studio behind the momentous  Age of Empire series. He later joined Blizzard Entertainment, where he took part in releasing expansion packs several times as a Lead System Designer for World of Warcraft until 2013.


He later joined Riot Games as the Lead Game Designer and took part in the directing development, champion design, balancing, etc. for League of Legends. Since 2015, he has become the Design Director and works on assembling long-term strategies for the game, manages the game design team, and also acts as a representative for Riot Games and League of Legends.


League of Legends is a MOBA game that has been in service since October, 2009, and through its many updates has kept a dedicated player base. The addition of new champions is essential in these updates, and having appealing champions appear in professional tournaments often creates a stir among the fans.


Greg Street will be speaking about how to analyze the plays of pro gamers in Esports and utilize that information when developing new champions. He will also be delivering some of the backstory of developing unique champions at the IGEC.


The 1st IGEC will be held on May 1st, at UCI California, Irvine, and details on the conference and ticket registration can be found on the official IGEC website.
