LCK Awards recipients for the 2022 summer split revealed

 

On Aug. 16, LCK announced the recipients of the LCK Awards for the 2022 LCK Summer Split. The categories for the LCK awards were Regular Season MVP, Player of the Split, Rookie of the Year, Best Coach, and the All-LCK Teams. As Gen.G was over the regular season, the Gen.G players were named the most.

 

The Player of the Split award was given to the players that collected the most Player of the Game points through the season. Gen.G Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk and Liiv SANDBOX Lee “Prince” Chae-hwan collected 1,200 points and were both awarded the Player of the Split. T1 Choi “Zeus” Woo-je came in close with 1,100 points.

 

 

The Regular Season MVP was given to the players that got the most votes from people in the scene, including head coaches, analysts, team captains, and the media. Ruler collected 21 1st place votes and was awarded the Regular Season MVP. The Rookie of the Split and Best Coach awards were also based on votes. These awards went to KT Rolster Lee “VicLa” Dae-kwang and Gen.G Go “Score” Dong-bin.

The All-LCK First Team consisted mostly of Gen.G players. While T1 Zeus was voted on the first team as the top laner, the other four players were Han “Peanut” Wang-ho, Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon, Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk, and Son “Lehends” Si-woo. The second team was Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon, Moon “Oner” Hyeon-joon, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, Lee “Prince” Chae-hwan, and Ryu “Keria” Min-seok, and the third team was Kim “Rascal” Kwang-hee, Kim “Croco” Dong-beom, Lee “Clozer” Joo-hyeon, Kim “Aiming” Ha-ram, and Kim “Kael” Jin-hong. As of Aug. 14, the regular season of the 2022 LCK Summer Split was concluded. The playoffs will commence tomorrow with the clash between Liiv SANDBOX and DRX.
