For the first time in the seven-plus-year history of Hearthstone, a card reveal stream may have been canceled.

Last week, the state of California cracked down on Activision Blizzard, the company that makes the massively popular collectible card game, for allegedly fostering a sexist workplace culture where harassment, sexism, and discrimination run rampant. In the days since current and former employees and executives began speaking out about their experiences with said allegations.

Shortly after, numerous content creators within the Hearthstone community began canceling their scheduled card reveal announcements that Blizzard provided for a myriad of reasons. Some wanted to show their support for the victims, others didn't want to come across as being tone-deaf during a fragile time within the company's history and several just canceled altogether without making a public statement.

Still, the show must go on, right? With United in Stormwind scheduled to go live on August 3, the game's development team had a final card reveal stream planned for Monday afternoon. As the event's start time began to inch closer, members of the community noticed something odd. The game's official Twitch stream wasn't live and the event itself had been removed from the expansion's website.

Neither the company nor members of the game's development team have publicly stated that the event would no longer take place or was delayed.
