Have you ever wondered who the most popular streamer in your part of the world is? Ever been curious as to which Twitch stars your neighbors are searching for in the evenings? Well, wonder no more, as a fun infographic from Casino Grounds has revealed the most searched-for streamers in every American state.

Some of the names are surprising, others — not so much, with the biggest names on Twitch obviously also being some of the most popular searches. We’ve had a look at the results below, as well as trying to see if we can gain any clues as to why North Dakota might love a masked Minecraft star, or what it is about blue-haired Fortnite streamers that Texas just can’t resist.

The Greatest City on Earth loves…

As it turns out New York is very big on a bit of political debate with a slightly leftish slant, as Hasan Piker is the most searched name in that part of the United States. With Piker born and bred in New Jersey, you’d also expect him to be popular there, but strangely enough, the residents of that slice of the US are all searching for chess grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura’s content.

Over on the other coast, Kaitlin "Amouranth" Siragusa is the most searched-for name in Washington, Oregon, and Nevada. Right next door in California it’s another female creator that leads the way. Imane “Pokimane” Anys is California’s streamer of choice it seems, and actually ranks top of the list as the most popular in the US.

People in Texas love things to be bigger, as the saying goes, and also are apparently not as interested in the newer generation, sharing as they do Tyler"Ninja" Blevins as their number one with Iowa and Pennsylvania. Another slightly more experienced name on the list is Herschel "Dr Disrespect" Beahm, who is the biggest name in Wyoming and Vermont at this point in his career.

Ladies in front

Overall, Pokimane is the most searched for in terms of number of states, with 11 states having her atop their Google results, including Alaska, Utah, Florida and Tennessee. Just behind her sits Amouranth on 10, which is double what the next most popular creator, Asmongold, can boast. It is also interesting to note that Poki, Asmongold, and Amouranth all outrank the likes of Ninja and Dream, who arguably receive more mainstream attention despite the fact.

At the other end of the scale, Chess GM Hikaru being New Jersey’s most favorite streamer may come as a surprise to those who only know the state from reality TV shows, while UK streamer Thomas "TommyInnit" Simons being the most searched for in Rhode Island is also quite unexpected. Ranboo, Charles "MoistCritikal" White, and Hasan Piker are all top in a couple of places, while League of Legends streamer Tyler "Tyler1" Steinkamp is the most popular search in Louisiana, where people must really love yelling at MOBAs.

It is fascinating to see two female streamers at the top of the list for searches, even if they aren’t the two biggest names on Twitch outright, although part of that is just down to how Twitch as a platform works. Asmongold is also somewhat a surprise given his overall level on Twitch, and the name brand power of Ninja remains as powerful as it was in his prime, at least based on this information.
