[UPDATED 12/16; OFFICIAL] Khan reportedly set to join FunPlus Phoenix for LPL 2020 season

According to a report by ESPN Esports' Tyler "FionnOnFire" Erzberger, former SK Telecom T1 Top Laner Kim "Khan" Dong-ha has found a new home in the LPL in the form of 2019 League of Legends World Champion FunPlus Phoenix.

Khan became a free agent alongside SKT Jungler Kim "Clid" Tae-mina and legendary Coach Kim "kkOma" Jeong-gyun one week ago.

Clid has since joined Gen.G, and kkOma has yet to announce any new location, though it seems that he will not return to the T1 organization.

FPX most recently swept G2 Esports out of the 2019 Worlds Finals in Paris, France, but looks to be upgrading despite its dominant finish to the season. Khan is an individual upgrade over Kim "GimGoon" Han-saem, but both of the Korean Top Laners possess drastically different styles. Still, Khan's previous experience in the LPL should help him re-acclimate quickly, and FPX's experience with GimGoon will make the integration of a Korean player more smooth than a full Chinese team.

Khan closed the book with SKT after only one year, but accomplished quite a lot in the single season. With Khan, SKT won the 2019 LCK Spring and Summer championships, and finished top 4 at Worlds 2019 after losing 3-1 to G2. SKT also placed top 4 at the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational, meeting its end for the first time against G2 in a 3-2 epic.

UPDATE 12/16:

FunPlus Phoenix has signed Khan for the 2020 LPL Season, and has also renewed its contract with GimGoon.
