Gen.G Esports reclaimed second place on the 24th after a 2-0 victory over DN Super in the second round of the 2026 LoL Champions Korea (LCK) regular season, held at LoL PARK in Jongno. With the top two teams earning direct tickets to the 'Road to MSI' first-seed qualifier, the win secures a favorable position for Gen.G in the increasingly heated race for the top spots.
The following is the full transcript of the press conference with Head Coach Yoo Sang-wook and 'Ruler' Park Jae-hyuk.

Q. First, could you give us an overview of today's match?
Head Coach Yoo Sang-wook = I’m happy that we won 2-0 with a strong performance today.
'Ruler' = Today's match was very important for the standings, so I'm glad we were able to win.
Q. What do you think was the key to today's victory.
Head Coach Yoo Sang-wook = Our laning phase went well across all lanes, and our smooth communication allowed us to snowball the game effectively.
'Ruler' = Fundamentally, I think we executed our laning phase well. The key to our victory was using that lead to identify and capitalize on the plays we could make in-game.
Q. (To 'Ruler') Your bot lane duo's form has improved significantly recently.
'Ruler' = I’ve been practicing 2v2 skirmishes with other teams a lot to improve. As I’ve worked on syncing up better with 'Duro', our performance has naturally improved. However, I still don't think I'm playing at my full potential, so I have a long way to go.
Q. Were there any aspects of today's game that you found disappointing or need to provide feedback on?
Head Coach Yoo Sang-wook = In the second set, there was a moment where we were pushed back by the opponent for no reason. It felt like a situation where we shouldn't have been pushed back, so I plan to review that with the team.
Q. Your next opponent is Hanwha Life Esports, who are currently competing for the top spot. What are your expectations?
Head Coach Yoo Sang-wook = Hanwha Life is playing incredibly well right now, so we need to prepare thoroughly. I expect a very intense match. Since they are a team where every lane is strong, we need to prepare our picks and lane matchups in great detail.
'Ruler' = If the bot lane pick-ban dynamics play out like they did today, the bot lane will be intense. If the draft goes differently, I think the focus of the battle will shift to other lanes.
Q. Gen.G's performance has improved significantly compared to the beginning of the season. How far do you expect the team's performance to go in a best-of-series format like the 'Road to MSI'?
Head Coach Yoo Sang-wook = I believe our performance has already improved quite a bit. If we can refine the small details, like the minor movement errors we saw today, I expect us to do well at the Road to MSI.
Q. 'Ruler', you have been in great form, recently winning consecutive POG awards. On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your current form? What score do you want to reach by the time you hit the MSI stage?
'Ruler' = On a scale of 10, I think I'm at about a 5 right now. I want to raise that to a 8 by the time we reach the MSI stage. I will keep working hard until I reach my full potential.
Q. Lastly, please share your resolve for the next match and a word for the fans.
Head Coach Yoo Sang-wook = We face Hanwha Life on Wednesday, and we will prepare well to ensure we win.
'Ruler' = We will all prepare well for the Hanwha Life match next week to show our fans a great performance and an exciting game. Thank you always.
