Activision Blizzard helps over 30K US veterans find employment

On February 19th (PST), Activision Blizzard announced that Call of Duty Endowment(C.O.D.E.), a non-profit, public benefit corporation, has given support to over 31,000 US veterans.

Established in 2009, C.O.D.E. helps US veterans find employment and also aids with living expenses via donations and DLC proceeds. The organization’s post outlines that a total of 31,000 vets have been placed in jobs and also declares a goal of helping 50,000 vets by 2019.

In their post titled “2016: Year In Review”, Activision Blizzard details the accomplishments that C.O.D.E. achieved over the course of the last year. Notably, the partnership with Treyarch Studios sold more than 455,000 "C.O.D.E. Warrior" packs, resulting in over $1.7 million, which was used to help place nearly 2,800 veterans in working positions.

C.O.D.E raised $490,000 with GameStop’s in-store donation campaign and also raised $115,000 through individual contributions.

The organization thanked all the donators for their support and encouraged many others to join in helping veterans find meaningful careers.
