Longtime League of Legends Championship Series support player, Daerek "LemonNation" Hart, came to Twitter Thursday afternoon to alert his fans that he'd tested positive for COVID-19. According to ESPN, LemonNation is not hospitalized, but has self-isolated himself for the time being.

LemonNation was on the original Cloud9 roster, winning multiple titles with the team. Since retiring in 2018, he has moved into other roles within esports, and is currently the Head of Events for former teammate, Hai "Hai" Lam's, esports org, Radiance.

The coronavirus has had a large impact on the esports scene, canceling most live events across all esports, and postponing much of the regular season games as well. Overwatch canceled all their homestands, and League of Legends moved their games to an online format, including the playoffs, in order to keep team members and fans safe. LemonNation is among the first League of Legends pros to test positive for the virus.
