S1mple tops 2018 HLTV.org rankings

Natus Vincere CS:GO star Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev took 1st place in the 2018 HLTV.org rankings, deeming him the best CS:GO player in the world. S1mple narrowly edged out Astralis' Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz.

In 2018, s1mple had the highest rating (1.33), scored the most frags (3866), had the highest number of frags per round (0.87) and had the most rounds with one or more frags (55.4%). He also ranked first in the number of opening frags (637), ranked second in the number of clutches (80), KAST (75.9%) and with an average damage per round (87.4).

S1mple had a career year in 2018, awarded tournament MVP twice at tournaments in which Na'Vi were eliminated. In addition, s1mple's KDA was +1232 as he became the first player in a year to achieve a 1000+ KDA. 

 

 


S1mple placed 4th in HLTV.org's rankings in 2016, and 8th in 2017. Now that he has proven his worth as the best CS:GO player in the world, s1mple has all sets set on bringing a championship home to Na'Vi in 2019.
