Netmarble offered the first public hands-on look at Evilbane, its upcoming console and PC action game, during this year’s G-STAR convention in Busan, South Korea. The demo marks a major milestone for the project, which is being built in Unreal Engine 5 and emphasizes cooperative play, real-time weapon switching, and large-scale territory battles.
Evilbane is a third-person action title set in a dark fantasy world where players work together to reclaim lands overtaken by enemy forces. The game allows users to fluidly switch between melee and ranged weapons while coordinating with teammates to clear missions and push back hostile factions. Netmarble describes cooperation and shared progression as foundational to the experience.
Visitors to G-STAR were able to try an exclusive demo mission created specifically for the event. Four playable characters were available, and attendees could either test the game solo or watch creators tackle the mission in four-player co-op sessions at Netmarble’s booth. Early impressions focused on the game’s fast-paced combat, character variety, and the spectacle of coordinated team play.
NETMARBLE DEBUTS FIRST PLAYABLE OFFLINE DEMO FOR EVILBANE AT G-STAR 2025
“Evilbane’s first hands-on showcase at G-STAR 2025 marks an important milestone for us,” said Jung Ho Lee, Game Publishing Director at Netmarble. He noted that feedback gathered on the show floor will help inform adjustments as the title moves toward its next testing phase.

The game’s narrative centers on squads fighting demonic enemies, rival warlords, and opportunistic groups looking to claim power. Up to four players can form a team, infiltrate contested zones, and clear objectives that open the path to more difficult missions. The demo is the first time the public has seen the project in action outside previously released trailers and screenshots.
Following G-STAR, Netmarble plans to continue global testing and will share future updates through its official channels. The studio intends to launch Evilbane worldwide on both console and PC.
Netmarble, founded in 2000, is one of Korea’s largest game publishers, with titles including Solo Leveling: ARISE, Seven Knights: Rebirth, Raven 2, and Marvel Future Fight. The company owns or holds major stakes in studios such as Kabam, SpinX Games, Jam City, HYBE, and NCSOFT.
